Ethics

Our product falls at the intersection of spatial technology and commerce. For this reason, it is important to consider all users’ different cognitive and physical abilities, in addition to acknowledging and subsequently avoiding methods used to intentionally deceive users in order to achieve business objectives.

Equally Perceptible and Available

Ensure that all information and features are presented in a way that is equally perceptible and available to all users regardless of physical or cognitive abilities.

Avoiding Discriminatory Design

Discriminatory design excludes or marginalizes specific users based on race, gender, age, or ability. This is especially relevant to the beauty industry, which is why it is especially important to avoid this in your design.

Avoiding Hidden Fees & Basket Sneaking

Adding secret subscriptions, fees, or products into a user’s cart without their consent should ALWAYS be avoided. Users should always know what they are buying, and using this tactic overall taints the company-user experience.

Price Comparison Prevention

This dark pattern involves deliberately obscuring and inhibiting users from easily comparing prices of products with competitors or alternative sellers to influence purchasing decisions.
